BD CONSTRUCTION GARNERS AGC AWARDS
Released On: October 15, 2009
BD Construction of Kearney, Nebraska, has been
recognized in several award categories of the Nebraska Building Chapter of the Associated
General Contractors of America (AGC), which strives to promote excellence in construction
through training, education and positive relationships in the industry.
The Nebraska chapter awards were announced at the AGC Nebraska Building Chapter
luncheon in September. BD Construction received the prestigious safety award for the second
year in a row, an honor commending a zero incidence rate in 50,000+ working hours. In
recognition of member participation in chapter activities, training programs and committee work,
BD also received the state of Nebraska’s Premier Member Firm award, and Mark Benjamin,
CEO, accepted the Building Chapter Champion Award.
Additionally, five BD Construction employees were awarded the Premier Member’s
Circle for outstanding levels of participation with the chapter: Andy Bartling, Linette Butler, Craig
Klingenberg, Rick Pettit and Ryan Quiring. Bartling and Pettit were also recognized for their
completion of 10 supervisory training programs, which attests to their knowledge and skills as
capable supervisors on the work site.
“Excellence is one of our guiding principles,” stated Mark Benjamin, president and CEO
of BD Construction, Inc., Kearney. “As a construction company, we strive to not only be
positively involved with our organization, but to constantly self-evaluate for areas of
improvement. We are pleased to be recognized for our dependability in this respect and for our
endeavors in the improvement and maintenance of safety and supervision certification.”
