BD Construction Begins to Assist with Memorial Health Center Addition
Released On: January 21, 2011
BD Construction, Inc., of Kearney, Nebraska, one of the Midwest’s leading construction companies, has begun construction on an addition to the physical therapy unit at Memorial Health Center, located in Sidney, Nebraska.
The 5,800-square-foot physical therapy unit will be built in the existing basement of the health center. BD Construction's layout design will allow space for a physical therapy gymnasium, treatment and storage rooms, an occupational therapy room, offices, a restroom and a reception and waiting area. Completion of this project is scheduled for April 2011.
“We are thrilled for BD Construction to begin work on our physical therapy addition,” stated Evette (Evie) Parsons, director of public relations at Memorial Health Center. “We received such overwhelming support and generous contributions from the community, and we could not have made this project a reality without each and every one.”
Currently, the size of the physical therapy unit does not allow the staff to fulfill its potential on patient care and service. The larger space will aide in supporting the needs of all patients, including patient confidentiality.
The addition and the new unit will be dedicated to Daryl Conger, a retired physical therapist who had a keen vision of creating a more spacious facility for patient needs.
“We are pleased to have the opportunity to provide Memorial Health Center with a physical therapy unit that will help them meet the needs of their patients,” stated Mark Benjamin, president and CEO of BD Construction.
