BD Construction Awarded Fourth Consecutive AGC Safety Award

Released On: December 8, 2011

BD Construction Inc., of Kearney, Nebraska, one of the Midwest's leading construction companies, received an outstanding safety award for the fourth year in a row from the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of America.

Commemorating a zero incidence rate in 50,000+ working hours, the award was presented to only 12 member firms of the AGC-Nebraska Building Chapter. The awards were announced at the fall meeting in November.

"Our staff understands that safety is, indeed, a daily value and one that cannot be ignored," stated Pete Keyes, BD Construction safety director. "Delivering a quality product on time and on budget is not a success if anyone is injured. I credit our crews and their outstanding daily safety awareness for our zero incident rate."

Additionally, three BD Construction employees were awarded the Premier Member's Circle for outstanding levels of participation within the chapter. Linette Butler and Austin Larson were recognized for their participation in the Construction Leadership Academy, and Denny Neemeyer for his attendance in the Supervisory Training Program classes.

"Congratulations to Linette, Austin and Denny for their dedication to the standards set by the AGC-Nebraska chapter," commented Mark Benjamin, president and chief executive officer of BD Construction. "We are proud to be recognized for the fourth year in a row on our commitment to safety. Safety has always been, and will continue to be, a priority at BD Construction."
