Released On: January 25, 2011

BD Construction, Inc., of Kearney, Nebraska, one of the Midwest's leading construction companies, is pleased to announce today that Linette Butler, senior accountant at BD Construction, has been elected as 2011 Board President of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of America, Nebraska Building Chapter. "To be voted in to this position by such well-respected leaders in the industry is truly an honor," stated Butler. "One of my main goals as president is to increase membership and encourage existing members to become more engaged and take advantage of all that AGC has to offer."

Butler, who was first elected to the Nebraska Building Chapter Board in 2007, began her role as board president on January 1, 2011. As president, she will work hand-in-hand with the executive director to provide leadership for the commercial construction industry in Nebraska. While serving in her new position, Butler plans to focus her attention to increasing membership and specialty contractor membership for the Nebraska Building Chapter of AGC. Prior to her elected role as president, Butler served as board treasurer and vice president. She also remains chair of the membership committee in addition to taking on her new role.

"We are thrilled for Linette to be elected this position and further her knowledge and expertise in the industry," stated Mark Benjamin, president and CEO of BD Construction. "She is the right type of person to take on this role, and we are excited for the many benefits she will bring to the Nebraska Chapter of AGC."
