Howland Named Controller at BD Construction


(Kearney, Neb.; February 9, 2018)BD Construction, Inc., one of the Midwest’s leading construction companies, announces the addition of Jay Howland as its controller.

Howland earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Accounting from the University of Nebraska-Kearney (UNK). Prior to joining BD Construction, Howland served as the controller for Marshall Engines in Kearney for 15 years.

As controller, Howland will maintain BD’s unique open book policy. No stranger to a hammer, he and his wife built the house they live in today, serving as general contractor as well as performing framing, plumbing, tiling, siding, windows/doors, painting, cabinetry and finish carpentry. He is a member of the Construction Financial Management Association and attends Kearney’s Evangelical Free Church.  On football Saturdays, you’ll find him at UNK tailgating in support of the Lopers. Howland and his wife Krisa have two girls, Reese and Ellee.
