Nate Oberg began working in the construction industry at the age of 19. Over the past nearly 25 years, Nate has earned increasing levels of responsibility and joined BD Construction in 2017 as a site superintendent. In this role, Nate oversees owner relationships, construction quality and scheduling as well as coordinates the work of subcontractors on a project site.
Nate’s approach to communicating with customers and his attention to detail have earned him repeat clients. He became familiar with BD Construction while working beside BD staff on Kearney High School, and liked the company’s involvement in the community as well as the camaraderie among the BD staff, clients and subcontractors.
Outside of work, Nate enjoys cooking, especially smoking meats, and his smoked brisket is a favorite. While working as superintendent on the new Kearney High School, Nate befriended the basketball coaches and served as chef to the team before big games. Nate also loves hunting and fishing and is a volunteer for Miles for Heroes, which helps service men and women receive care for PTSD. A native of Hooper, Neb., Nate and his wife, Leila, have three children, Ceara, Madison and Quin. He is a member of Countryside Christian Church and coaches youth sports.
